Hot Buttered Bourbon

With a Cherry on Top

Who doesn't love Bourbon with a little butter? Here is a great recipe for Hot Buttered Bourbon with a Michigan twist of the Montmorency Cherry.

  • 2 1/4 cups brown sugar (1 lbs)

  • 1/2 cup butter (1 cube; 1/4 lbs)

  • 1 pinch salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

  • Garnish: Grated nutmeg and/or a dash of cinnamon, Butter patty

Combine all ingredients and stir together until well blended and creamy In a pre-heated coffee mug, drop in 1 heaping tablespoon of the above batter. Add 2 ounces of Bourbon. Top with Hot Water. Stir well.
